Managing thermal printer supplies
The supplies managed by NDD Orbix are:
Thermal Paper: paper coated with a heat-sensitive layer that reacts to the heat of the printhead.
Thermal Transfer Paper: specific paper for thermal transfer printers, which requires the use of a ribbon to fix the print.
Ribbon: film composed of wax, resin or a combination of both, used in thermal transfer printers to transfer the image to paper or labels using heat.
Cutter: device integrated into thermal printers that automatically cuts paper or labels after printing.
Initially, demand generation and identification of replacements will be based on the supply's yield indicator. Therefore, it is essential to correctly inform the actual capacity of each product in the registry.
If a printer model has a ribbon low or media low sensor and the reading identifies the activation of this sensor (low level), all printers of this model will start using the level indicator as a basis for generating demands and identifying exchanges.
After registering the products and linking compatibilities, the system begins monitoring the consumption of supplies in the thermal printers. From then on, users can take advantage of all the intelligence of NDD Orbix for efficient management, including replacement, purchase forecasting, indicator analysis, and exchanges.
