Manage thermal printer products
For thermal printer supply management to operate correctly on the NDD Orbix portal, it is essential that all products are properly registered and identified.
Initially, demand generation and exchange identification will be based on the supply's production indicator. Therefore, it is essential to correctly inform the actual capacity of each product in the registration.
If a printer model has a ribbon low or media low sensor and the reading identifies the activation of this sensor (low level), all printers of this model will start using the level indicator as a basis for generating demands and identifying exchanges.
There are two ways to register products in the system:
Activate automatic registration of products and compatibilities: supply data is captured from the equipment's internal memory.
Manually register products and manually link compatibilities: supply data is registered manually.
Product capacity must be entered using one of the following options:
Edit the data of the product registered automatically and enter the capacity in meters (Thermal Paper, Thermal Transfer Paper or Ribbon) or units (Cutter); or
The capacity obtained via reading will always be recorded as 0 (indeterminate), as thermal printer supplies do not have this data.
Create manually a new product and enter the capacity in meters (Thermal Paper, Thermal Transfer Paper or Ribbon) or units (Cutter); or
Force the use of a fixed product in the printer or assign the product requested in the last demand; or
Force a fixed capacity for the supplies of a specific printer.
