View detailed analysis of the printer supplies forecast
Who can use this feature
Users with the Admin or Forecast generation permissions
When you click on the View Detailed Analysis button in the consolidated analysis, you will be taken to the detailed analysis.
Unlike the consolidated analysis, the detailed analysis displays the individual requirements of each supply, allowing for more specific planning.
To return to the consolidated analysis, click on the Back button.
Columns of the detailed analysis
The detailed analysis organizes the data into the following columns:
Customer | Customer where the printer is located. |
Site | Site where the printer is located. |
Model | Printer model. |
Manufacturer | Printer manufacturer. |
Serial | Serial number of the printer. If not, a dash will be displayed: -. |
Type | Type of product required for the period. |
Color | Color of the product required for the period. |
Product | Manufacturer and model of the product initially suggested by the system. To estimate another product, click on the Replace product button in the consolidated analysis. |
Capacity | Capacity of the product initially suggested by the system. If the product has no capacity or its capacity is undetermined, the value displayed will be 0. To change the capacity and recalculate the quantity required, click on the Edit capacity button in the consolidated analysis. |
Pgs/day | Average number of pages printed daily by the supply. To change the average number of pages and recalculate the quantity required, click on the Edit average pages/day button in the detailed analysis. |
Efficiency | Average efficiency of the supply's capacity, taking into account the printer's yield and coverage indicators. To change the efficiency and recalculate the quantity required, click on the Edit efficiency button in the detailed analysis. The minimum average efficiency will be 1% and the maximum 100%, even if there are edits. |
Pages required | Estimate of the number of pages required in the period, taking into account the printer's indicators. By changing the average number of pages per day via the Edit average pages/day button in the detailed analysis, the required number of pages will also be changed. The minimum number of pages required will be 0 and the maximum 7,300,000, even if there are edits. |
Quantity required | Estimate of the quantity of items required in the period, taking into account the printer's indicators. When generating the forecast, the maximum quantity of items initially displayed will be 1,000. The quantity of each item can be adjusted up to 100,000 items using the Edit quantity button in the detailed analysis. |
Below the analysis, the total number of customers, printers, product models, pages and planned quantities in the forecast are displayed.
Actions available in the detailed analysis
The detailed analysis allows you to adjust estimates and simulate scenarios. Changed data will be reflected in the consolidated analysis.
Changes are not reversible; to return to the initial values, generate a new forecast with the same filters.
In addition, edits always apply to the last value in the table.
Edit quantity
To change the required quantity of items, between 1 and 100,000.
In the forecast, select the products you want to change and click on Edit quantity.
When you enter the new quantity and click the Save button, the required quantity of items column will be adjusted.
Edit average pages/day
To change the average number of pages produced per day by the supply, between -100% and 1,000%. This change affects the estimate of pages required.
The number of pages per day shown in the forecast will be increased or decreased according to the percentage entered.
The average number of pages per day in the forecast is 200. In the edition, it was requested that the average be increased to 20%. The new average number of pages per day in the forecast will be 240 (200 + 20%).
The average number of pages per day in the forecast is 200. In the edition, it was requested that the average be reduced to -20%. The new average number of pages per day in the forecast will be 160 (200 - 20%).
In addition, the required number of pages presented in the forecast will be a maximum of 7,300,000 pages, even if the percentage change exceeds this limit.
The forecast was generated for 30 days. The average number of pages per day in the forecast is 25,000. In the edition, it was requested to increase the average to 1,000%. The new average number of pages per day in the forecast will be 275,000. However, the total number of pages required will be 7,300,000, as this is the maximum possible.
If you enter -100%, the average, the required number of pages and the required number of items will be reset to zero.
In the forecast, select the products you want to change and click on Edit average pages/day. The change will be reflected in all the lines of the forecast that have the same parameters defined in the edit.
Only the customer field is mandatory. The site can only be selected if only one customer is chosen. If more than one customer is chosen, site selection will be disabled and all customer sites will be considered.
When selecting a printer without a serial number (identified by a dash: -), all printers without a serial number and with the same customer, site, printer manufacturer, product model, product type and product color will have their average changed.
When you enter the percentage increase or decrease in the average number of pages per day and click the Save button, the forecast will be recalculated.
Edit efficiency
To change the average efficiency percentage of the supply capacity, between -100% and 1,000%.
The efficiency percentage shown in the forecast will be increased or decreased according to the percentage entered.
The efficiency in the forecast is 5%. In the edition, it was requested that the efficiency be increased to 20%. The new efficiency in the forecast will be 6% (5 + 20%).
The efficiency in the forecast is 5%. In the edition, it was requested that the efficiency be reduced to -20%. The new efficiency in the forecast will be 4% (5 - 20%).
In addition, the percentage of efficiency presented in the forecast will be a minimum of 1% and a maximum of 100%, even if the percentage change exceeds these limits.
The efficiency in the forecast is 10%. In the edition, it was requested that the efficiency be reduced to -100%. The new efficiency in the forecast will be 1%, as this is the minimum possible. If you enter -100%, even though the minimum efficiency is 1%, the required quantity of items will be reset to zero.

In addition, the percentage of efficiency presented in the forecast will always be whole numbers. If the calculation results in a percentage with decimal places, it will be rounded down.

Export forecast
To export the generated forecast in a CSV file, taking into account the filters applied.
When you click the Close button, the forecast will not be saved. To view it again, you will need to enter all the filters and generate the forecast.
