Fixes

Communication error during unicast printer search

In some scenarios, after the configuration of the unicast address search, communication between the agent and the portal would start but immediately fail, displaying the message “no printers found.” In the logs, error 4002 was recorded before the failure, with no additional information other than the unsuccessful search attempt.

This problem occurred when network and/or USB printer services searched for remote settings on the NDD Orbix portal.

To fix this, we implemented a cache warming (preloading) strategy, which optimizes the agent's first communication with the portal. As a result, subsequent interactions now have faster responses, less level on the database, and eliminate the occurrence of the reported error.

Incorrect identification of servers (Service: NDD - Thermal Monitor)

We adjusted the recognition logic for Honeywell thermal printers to prevent servers from being incorrectly identified as printers.

New features

AI features to support your Help Center experience

To make your experience more practical and interactive, the Help Center now has two features based on artificial intelligence: Sindy AI, our chatbot in BETA version, and AI assistance in search (Ask AI).

Sindy AI is available in the lower right corner of the screen, just above the notification icon. She keeps a history of the conversation while she is open, allowing for continuous and connected dialogue. If she is closed, the history is deleted, and when you reopen her, a new conversation must be started.

Ask AI appears as a suggestion when searching the Help Center. It does not keep a history of interactions, so it is important to add enough context to each new question. AI searches all documentation when used on the Help Center initial page, or only within the specific content you are browsing.

In both features, the more specific your question is, the better the answer will be. At the final of the answer, links to the complete documentation are also suggested so that you can delve deeper into the topic.

New features

Monitoring USB printers on Linux operating systems (Service: NDD - Printer Monitor USB)

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent now supports the monitoring of USB printers on Linux operating systems, including the collection of meter, supply and event data via the NDD - Printer Monitor USB service for the following printer models:

If you need to approve a new model, open a support ticket so we can analyze its feasibility.
