New features
New ways of updating the DCA and Cloud Connector agent available
What is the new functionality? New ways of updating the DCA and Cloud Connector agent through the NDD Orbix portal.
What is the benefit of the new functionality? Enabling automatic, scheduled or manual updating of services directly through the NDD Orbix portal, reducing costs and optimizing the provider's time.
How does the new functionality work? The Installations menu has been complemented with the Update rules and Service statuses submenus. To carry out automatic, scheduled or manual updates, you first need to create the rules. Once the rules have been created, you can view the status of the services to check whether they are up-to-date, out-of-date or failed to update, allowing you to force updates if necessary.
Remember to review the permissions of the users who will have access to the new functionality to grant them.
To find out more about the new functionality and configure it correctly, go to Update the agent or gateway on portal.
Observations? The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to the latest available version, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.
To ensure correct operation and a better user experience, we recommend clearing your browser cache.

New features
Official launch of the Print queues feature
After a successful period of testing, the Print queues functionality is being officially launched!
During the BETA phase, we worked continuously to collect feedback from users and identify improvements. Based on this valuable input, we have made substantial adjustments to ensure that the functionality is more stable, reliable and ready to use.
We will continue working to further improve the functionality and expand its feature set!
Print queues for USB printers
What is the new functionality? Make it possible to install print queues on computers that have USB printers connected to them.
What is the benefit of the new functionality? Making the print queues created in the NDD Orbix portal compatible with USB printers, simplifying the installation process on the computers and making the operation more agile.
How does the new functionality work? When creating a print queue, it will be possible to choose the desired port type, whether TCP/IP (for network printers) or USB (for USB printers).
Observations? The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.10, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.
Fixes
Grouping with no members, but when added to the print queue it returned the list of computers
How did the problem happen? When the user added a computer to the grouping without it having the print queue service active, the computer was listed as a member of the grouping. However, when adding the grouping to the queue, the member was not displayed, and when removing members from the grouping, none of them were removed.
When did the problem happen? When the user added a member to the grouping, added that grouping to the queue and then removed the members from the grouping.
Where was the problem? In the Print queues > Print queues and Administration > Groupings menus.
What was done to fix it? An error will no longer be generated for all the computers in the grouping when a member does not have the print queue service active. The error will only be generated for the computer that does not have the service active.
Offline print queue service when the computer changed network connection (wi-fi to cable or vice versa)
How did the problem happen? When changing network adapters while the print queue service was active, the service was unable to recover the connection and was unable to communicate with the NDD Orbix portal.
When did the problem happen? When the user changed network connection (wi-fi to cable or vice versa).
Where was the problem? In the Installations > Services menu.
What was done to fix it? The failure was due to an incompatibility between the library used and the print queue service. Adjustments have been made to the library to correct the incompatibility mentioned. These adjustments do not significantly impact functionality, but offer an alternative method for reconnecting the service to the portal in cases of connection loss.
