EcoPrint: saving supplies

EcoPrint is a feature of NDD Orbix that optimizes the use of supplies in printing environments, promoting more efficient and sustainable management. With advanced functionalities and greater control, it meets the needs of outsourcing companies, where supply management represents a significant portion of operating costs. In addition to reducing costs related to supply consumption, EcoPrint aligns printing practices with sustainability principles.

The solution allows the configuration of specific savings levels, adapted to each customer's needs, through a single access. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of supplies used for each print, without compromising visual quality, resulting in significant savings that can range from 1% to 60%, increasing resource efficiency.

The savings rules are configured in the NDD Orbix portal. These rules are synchronized with the DCA and Cloud Connector agent, which is responsible for applying the defined savings to the print jobs and distributing them to the corresponding devices.

To ensure the proper functioning of EcoPrint, which requires the configuration of a driver with the PCL6 language, NDD Orbix offers the print queue functionality as an optional support. Although EcoPrint and print queues operate independently, using them together ensures that the queues are always configured according to EcoPrint's needs.
