Computer management
NDD Orbix offers a robust solution for companies managing an inventory of computers, providing added value to the offer, optimizing operating costs and improving the quality of the services provided. The functionalities allow for effective device management, ensuring a differentiated operation.
The main benefits of this functionality are:
Cost reduction and operational agility
NDD Orbix eliminates maintenance and infrastructure upgrade costs, increasing operational agility and contributing to company efficiency.
Improved quality of
service
With indicators of processor, RAM memory and disks usage, and battery health, as well as computer monitoring status, the company can prevent failures and anticipate component replacements, guaranteeing a more reliable service.
Centralized
administration
All monitored computers are available on a single portal, making it easier to manage and monitor performance.
Tracking the location of devices
The system allows precise monitoring of the location of computers (using geolocation via Wi-Fi or public IP), essential for tracking devices in use or on the move.
Personalized
alerts
The functionality makes it possible to set up personalized alerts to notify you of anomalies, such as inactive computers or excessive use of resources, allowing you to intervene before critical problems occur.
Inventory of
drivers
NDD Orbix provides a detailed overview of the drivers installed on each device, including name, description, version and manufacturer, ensuring the stability and proper performance of computers.
To start monitoring and managing computers, go to Managing computers.
Monitoring flow
The monitoring flow is simple: the DCA and Cloud Connector agent is installed in the customer's environment and starts collecting data from the computers via the NDD - Computer Monitor service. The captured data is sent to the NDD Orbix, where it is processed and made available for management.
Users can access the system to monitor the status of the devices and quickly identify any communication problems by means of personalized alerts.
The illustration below shows how the agent and computers operate together, signaling when connection failures occur:
A computer is considered INACTIVE if there has been no data transmission for more than 7 days.
Monitoring status
After data has been collected, the Status column in the computer grid provides a clear overview of the monitoring situation. Status options include:
ACTIVE: indicates that the computer has received data in the last 7 days and that monitoring is taking place normally.
INACTIVE: indicates that the computer has not received data for more than 7 days, signaling that no monitoring is in progress.
