Create additional fields in the printers register

This allows you to adapt the device register to the specific needs of your organization by adding fields that are not available in the standard options.

Up to 20 additional fields can be registered per device.

Who can use this feature

Users with the Admin permission

Instructions

  1. Access the Settings > Additional fields menu

  2. Click on the ✚ button in the top right-hand corner

  3. Enter the data:

    1. Device: select the Printer option

    2. Name: fill in the name that will be assigned to the additional field, with a limit of 25 characters
      The same device cannot have additional fields with the same name.

    3. Description: fill in the description of the additional field, if desired

  4. Click the Save button to create the additional field

The name of the additional field will be static in all languages, i.e. it will retain the name assigned in the register, regardless of the language selected in the portal.

After creating an additional field, all changes made to its registration will be recorded in the field's history. This history includes:

  • Date of change

  • Responsible user

  • Modified field

  • Previous record

  • Current record

If the field name is changed, the update will be automatically reflected on all linked devices.

It is not possible to modify the type of device associated with the additional field after its creation.

When creating the additional field, view the printer inventory to fill in the field data on each device.

If an additional field is deleted, both the field and its content will be permanently removed from all records of the devices to which it was linked.
