Configure printer service communication

Allows you to set the form of communication the customer wishes to have with the printers:

  • Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) settings: when using SNMP v1/v2 or v3, allows you to configure a time interval (in milliseconds) between each SNMP call made to the printer.
To ensure efficient discovery of new devices, always keep the list of SNMP entries up to date.
The SNMP v1/v2 or v3 connection communicates with the IPV4 and IPV6 internet protocols.

The SNMP v3 protocol, due to its security and encryption standards, requires more memory and processing, which can result in longer response times for the devices that use it. For this reason, when searching for printers by broadcast, only SNMP v1/v2 entries will be used.

Settings only available for network printers.
