Configure network printer service monitoring

The monitoring configuration allows you to define:

• Printer response time: time that the agent will try to capture meter and supply data.
  By default, a time of 1 minute (01:00) will be registered when the service is created, but it can be changed according to the operation's needs.

• Use ping test to monitor: when enabled, the agent performs a PING test on each printer at the beginning of monitoring.
  By default, the configuration will be enabled when the service is created, but it can be disabled as needed.

• Alert monitoring: when enabled, the agent monitors printer events and alerts.
  By default, the configuration will be enabled when the service is created, but it can be disabled as needed.

• Monitoring of meters and supplies: when enabled, the service will collect the printer's registration information and monitor meters and supplies. When disabled, the service will only collect the printer's registration information.
  By default, the configuration will be enabled when the service is created (if there is no bulk deactivation rule), but it can be disabled as needed for the operation.
  To disable meter and supplies monitoring in bulk, for all or multiple customers, access Deactivate meters and supplies monitoring for network printers.
  Even if there is a rule for bulk deactivation, when you enable monitoring for a specific service, the configuration for that service will override the deactivation rule.

Who can use this feature

Users with the Admin or Installation management permissions

Instructions

1. Go to the Installations > Services menu

2. Click on the desired service to open its properties

3. Click on the Settings and Monitoring tab

4. Scroll down to the Settings section for network printers or Configuration for USB printers

5. Enter the printer's response time

The minimum time allowed is 1 minute (01:00) and the maximum is 10 minutes (10:00).

6. Enable or disable the other settings as desired

7. Click the Save button
