Identifying a computer's hostname

The hostname is the name of a computer on a network, used to identify the device.

It is required when registering groupings of computers by import.

Instructions

  1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open Run

  2. Type cmd and press Enter to open the Command Prompt

  3. At the Command Prompt, type:

NONE
hostname
  1. Press Enter

The hostname will be displayed on the next line.
