Configure the alerts replace printhead, clean printhead, thermistor fault, low label or low ribbon on Honeywell thermal printers

In order for the alerts for replace printhead, clean printhead, thermistor fault, low label or low ribbon to be generated correctly in the NDD Orbix portal on thermal printers from the manufacturer Honeywell, it is necessary to configure the devices beforehand via the web page.

Instructions

  1. Access the printer's web page

  2. Navigate to the menu Configure > System Settings > Maintenance Alerts

To configure the alert(s):

  • Replace printhead: in the Replace Printhead (m) field, enter the value corresponding to the useful life of the printhead in meters.

  • Clean printhead: in the Clean Printhead (m) field, enter the number of meters printed after which you want to be alerted to clean the printhead.

  • Thermistor fault: in the Faulty Dot (dot) field, enter the number of faulty dots in the printhead which, when reached, will trigger the alert.

  • Low label: in the Media Low Diameter (mm) field, enter the minimum diameter of the label roll in millimeters which, when reached, will trigger the alert.
    Make sure that the printer has the media low sensor installed so that the value entered is captured.

  • Low ribbon: in the Ribbon Low Diameter (mm) field, enter the minimum diameter of the roll of ribbon in millimeters which, when reached, will trigger the alert.
    Make sure that the printer has the ribbon low sensor installed so that the value entered is captured.

Once you have set the desired values for the alerts, save the settings. Next, create the alert rules in the NDD Orbix portal, as instructed at Issue alerts.

Perform this configuration on the web page of all the printers where these alert rules will be applied.
