Error code 3008

Failure

The log from the NDD - Computer Monitor service recorded error code 3008 (InvalidComputerUniqueIdentifierException).

Cause

The computer's unique identifier is invalid.

Solution

Make sure your computer is connected to the internet, as instructed below:

  1. Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar

  2. Click on Network and Internet settings

  3. If you are not connected, click on the Get Help button to troubleshoot any problems

Also, restart the DCA and Cloud Connector services, as instructed at Start, stop or restart service, or restart your computer.

Afterwards, make sure that the computer has not been cloned or that there have been any modifications affecting its identifier, as instructed below:

  1. Press Windows + R

  2. Type cmd and press the Enter key

  3. In the terminal, type wmic csproduct get UUID and press the Enter key

  4. Check that the UUID returned is correct
