Improvements
Improvements in the configuration of the network printer service
To improve the monitoring of network printers, we have implemented several improvements in the display and management of devices monitored by the NDD - Printer Monitor service on the portal. Now, the display of addresses and printers, as well as the management of blocks, is more intuitive and efficient.
The main changes in the service settings are:
Settings > Printer search tab
Allows you to configure search addresses by unicast and broadcast, as well as set times for daily search and immediate search.
The addition of addresses and times has been reorganized into a separate grid, making it easier to add, edit, delete, and filter.
Settings > Supervised network addresses tab
Displays all network addresses detected by unicast and broadcast that are being monitored by the service and have printers linked to them.
Allows you to add specific addresses for searching and monitoring.
Includes the option to block addresses that should not be monitored.
Settings > Supervised printers tab
Displays all printers monitored by the service.
Includes the option to block serial numbers that should not be monitored.
Settings > Monitoring tab
The options for blocking monitoring of serial numbers and network addresses have been removed from this tab.
Blocking is now managed in specific tabs, providing greater visibility and control.
Block list > Blocked series tab
Displays all printers blocked from monitoring, allowing you to unblock them as needed.
Block list > Blocked network addresses tab
Displays all blocked network addresses, allowing you to unblock them as needed.
These updates enhance the usability of the portal and provide greater transparency about which devices are being monitored or blocked, ensuring more efficient management of the service.
Configuration of print type and mode in the queue
It is now possible to define the print type (monochrome or color) and print mode (simplex or duplex) when creating or editing a print queue.
These settings are essential for environments that adopt sustainability and resource saving policies. By allowing direct control of these parameters in the queue, it is possible to apply automated, standardized, and centralized rules to all print jobs, generating several benefits, such as:
Reduction of misuse of resources, such as paper and ink.
Technical standardization of prints.
Efficient application of printing policies, which optimize costs and increase the quality of service delivered to the final customer.
Optimization of centralized device fleet management.
For more details about the fields and how to configure them, access Create print queue.
The DCA and Cloud Connector (Windows) agent must be updated to version 1.1.22 and the NDD - Print Queue (Windows) service to version 1.3.0, respectively, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.
Optimizing the performance of meter report generation
We have improved the processing of meter information to increase the efficiency of generating predefined and customized reports, ensuring better performance and agility.
Improved control of virtual machine identification (Services: NDD - Computer Monitor and NDD - Software Monitor)
We have implemented an improvement in the control of virtual machine (VM) identification, with the aim of preventing services from running in this type of environment.
The DCA and Cloud Connector (Windows) agent must be updated to version 1.1.22, the NDD - Computer Monitor (Windows) service to version 1.3.7 and the NDD - Software Monitor (Windows) service to version 1.1.1, respectively, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.
Improved identification of the quantity of RAM memory installed (Service: NDD - Computer Monitor)
We have implemented an improvement in the process of searching for memory information, with the aim of correctly identifying and displaying the quantity of RAM memory installed on the computer.
The DCA and Cloud Connector (Windows) agent must be updated to version 1.1.22 and the NDD - Computer Monitor (Windows) service to version 1.3.7, respectively, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Technical notice
Impact of Windows update on computer location collection
Following a recent Windows update, we have identified that the location services configuration has been automatically disabled on several devices.
This change prevents the DCA and Cloud Connector agent from collecting and sending location information from computers to the portal.
To restore location information, you must re-enable location services on all affected computers. See the tutorial at Enable computer location in Windows.
More details about the Windows update can be accessed at Changes to API behavior for Wi-Fi access and location.

Improvements
New fields in the response of the GET /v1/products endpoint of the Products API
To make the response more complete and facilitate data integration and consumption, the following fields have been added to the return of the GET /v1/products endpoint:
supplyProductId: product identifier in the demand.
The id field is the product creation identifier. The supplyProductId field is the product identifier within the demand.
productTypeName: name of the product type.
productGroupName: name of the group to which the product belongs.
manufacturerName: name of the product manufacturer.
colorName: name of the product color.
New filter parameter in the GET /v1/supply-demands endpoint of the Printers API
To quickly identify if there are active demands for a given product without the need to perform manual filters, we added a new optional search parameter in the GET /v1/supply-demands endpoint:
supplyProductId (query / string): allows you to filter open demands related to a given product.
Use the GET /v1/products endpoint of the Products API to obtain the supplyProductId of the desired product.
Then, consult the GET /v1/supply-demands endpoint, entering the supplyProductId as a filter parameter.

New features
Supplies management for thermal printers
This new feature redefines how companies manage their supplies, ensuring greater predictability, reducing waste and eliminating operational failures. With an intelligent and automated solution, customers can overcome daily challenges such as unexpected supply shortages, rework and unnecessary costs, putting them ahead of the competition.
The features currently available are:
Total visibility of supplies in use: monitor, in real time, which supplies are being used in each thermal printer, ensuring total control over consumables.
Alerts for supplies running low: anticipate the need for replacement and avoid operational downtime by identifying supplies that are nearing the end of their life.
Complete demand management with auditing: have an automated workflow for meeting demands, with detailed history and traceability by status, ensuring efficiency and control.
History of exchanged supplies: access complete records on replacements made, facilitating audits and process optimization.
Product and compatibility management: configure a robust product layer, associating thermal printer models with compatible supplies, ensuring efficiency in replacement and use of consumables.
This innovation ensures proactive supply management, optimizing operations, ensuring service continuity and reducing costs.
For more details about the feature, access Thermal printer supplies management.
For more details on how to configure the feature, access Managing thermal printer supplies.
The DCA and Cloud Connector (Windows) agent must be updated to version 1.1.20, the NDD - Thermal Monitor (Windows) service to version 1.1.0 and the NDD - Thermal Monitor USB (Windows) service to version 1.5.0, respectively, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.
