Fixes

Alerts by criticality indicator was not segregated by units

The Alerts by criticality indicator in the Dashboard menu was not correctly segregated by units.

To correct this problem, a filter has been applied to the indicator to ensure that the data is displayed according to the units to which the user belongs.

Alert not being generated and email notification not being sent

Even though the requirements of the alert rule's settings were met, the alert was not being generated in the Warnings > Open menu and the email notification (when configured) was not being sent.

To correct this problem, the backup setting for alert rules has been changed so that alerts are generated correctly and email notifications (when configured) are sent.

New features

Additional fields in printer properties

The new functionality makes it possible to adapt the registration of devices to the specific needs of the organization, by adding fields that are not available in the standard options. The fields can be named and filled in according to the desired information.

Adding custom fields to device properties offers users a flexible and adaptable way of managing specific information about their devices. This allows for better customization of device registration, meeting both individual and organizational needs.

To register the desired fields (currently only available for printers), go to Settings > Additional fields. Then view the device properties to fill in the fields with the desired information. The information will be available for viewing in the grid and in the device register.

The additional fields can also be consulted or updated via Printers API:

  • Query endpoint: 'GET /v1/printers'

  • Update endpoint: 'PATCH /v1/printers/{printerId}'

The query and update are subject to the provider configuring at least one additional field.

Automating the completion of demands

The new functionality implements the automation of the completion of demands in progress through the system.

The benefit of this functionality is that it allows the process of replenishing supplies in the NDD Orbix to be completely automated, from generating the demand to finalizing it. Automating this process optimizes time and resources, providing more agile and effective management of customers' demands.

This functionality works as follows: if there are active rules for the respective demand members, when a supply change occurs in the printer, the system will check whether the new replacement is of the same type and color as the previous supply. If it is, the demand in progress will be automatically terminated, without the need for manual user intervention.

To configure the rules for automatic completion of demands, go to Create automatic completion of demands rule.

Computers API

The new functionality introduces the Computers API, which allows access to a variety of computer-related data, including registration information, RAM memory usage history, processor usage history and the updating of computer monitoring data.

The benefit of this functionality is that it enables integration with the Computers API, offering a more automated way of accessing detailed information about computers and updating their monitoring data.

To consult the endpoints, methods, parameters, request examples and responses returned from each call, go to Computers API.

Implement a new default computer monitoring dashboard

The new functionality implements a new default dashboard for monitoring computers, called Default - Computers. In addition, a new permission has been created that allows you to view, create, duplicate or edit this new default panel and the indicators that make it up: View Computers indicators - Monitoring.

The benefit of this functionality is to provide an effective way of viewing and managing operating data, especially with regard to monitoring the computers in the park.

The default computer monitoring dashboard includes the following indicators:

  • Computers - Active and inactive

  • Active and inactive computers by customer

  • Computers - CPU usage

  • Computers - Disk usage

  • Computers - Memory usage

  • Usage indicators by customer

When creating, duplicating or editing a dashboard, it is possible to select these indicators for inclusion in the customized dashboard.

Remember to review the permissions of the users and permission groups that will have access to the new functionality in order to grant them.

To access the detailed description of each indicator, go to Managing dashboards.

Improvements

Optimizing agent and service storage (DCA and Cloud Connector agent and Services: NDD - Printer Monitor, NDD - Printer Monitor USB and NDD - Computer Monitor)

The aim is to optimize the disk space used by the DCA and Cloud Connector agent and the NDD - Printer Monitor/NDD - Printer Monitor USB/NDD - Computer Monitor services, ensuring more efficient management of computing resources.

Thus, when updating the version of the agent and/or services via the NDD Orbix portal, only the latest version will be stored in the LiveUpdateDownloads and LiveUpdatePackages folders of the Workfolder directory, automatically deleting previous versions.

Packages prior to this version will remain in the installation directory. The change only applies to new packages from this version onwards.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

AppSettings maintenance during updates (DCA and Cloud Connector agent and Services: NDD - Printer Monitor and NDD - Printer Monitor USB)

Implemented a routine to save the previous settings file during the version update process.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Signature validation on updates (DCA and Cloud Connector agent and Services: NDD - Printer Monitor and NDD - Printer Monitor USB)

Added validation of the installation package signature when performing the version update process.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Fixes

Kyocera Ecosys P3145dn was not monitored due to duplicate meters (Service: NDD - Printer Monitor)

When monitoring the Kyocera Ecosys P3145dn, the meter reading routine added duplicate values.

To correct this problem, a handle was added so as not to capture duplicate meters.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Error in printer monitoring in case of model capture failure (Service: NDD - Printer Monitor)

When a model capture failed, the invalid value was saved in the local database, causing the next monitor to fail.

The problem was identified when monitoring the Ricoh IM320 device.

Now, when monitoring, the data is validated in all valid monitors. As a result, the values in the database are updated correctly, ensuring proper behavior.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Service initialization error (Service: NDD - Printer Monitor USB)

When downloading the settings from the NDD Orbix portal during service startup, the service was abruptly terminated due to the failure of an internal component.

To correct this problem, the internal component has been updated so that the failure does not occur.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Error in the capture of supplies (Service: NDD - Printer Monitor USB)

When monitoring equipment information, there was an error when capturing supplies that did not explicitly contain color information.

To correct this problem, the internal component that will define the “NoApply” color for supplies that do not have color information has been updated.

The DCA and Cloud Connector agent must be updated to version 1.0.13, as instructed at Update the agent or gateway on portal.

Fixes

Error in pagination of the item selection grid

The pagination of the grid for selecting specific items did not show the correct number of items. For example, if there were 30 items and the grid was configured to show 25 items per page, only the first page was displayed, preventing the other 5 records from being viewed.

This problem ocurred when creating a rule in the Installations > Automatic updates > Update rules menu, by customer, computer or service and selecting specific items.

To correct this problem, the version of the component has been updated, ensuring that the items are displayed correctly.
