What does the difference in pages mean in the EcoPrint Comparative report?

The EcoPrint Comparative report displays two main pieces of information:

  • Meter: total number of pages printed during the period, with or without EcoPrint.

  • Total pages with saving: total number of pages printed during the period with EcoPrint applied.

Example:

During the period from January 1, 2025 to January 31, 2025, a total of 580 prints were recorded. Of these, 150 had EcoPrint applied.

  • The Meter column will show 580 pages.

  • The Total pages with saving column will show 150 pages.

This difference shows how many prints were optimized by EcoPrint, allowing you to view the real impact of the configured saving rules.

The difference between these columns indicates how many pages have been optimized based on the saving rules. The higher the number of pages with EcoPrint applied, the greater the positive impact of the solution on the printing environment.

However, if the number on the meter is greater than the total pages with saving, it is important to check the environment to see if:

  • All printer print jobs are being monitored by the DCA and Cloud Connector agent.

  • All printer print queues are using PCL6 language drivers, as this is the language compatible with the application of EcoPrint saving rules.

To facilitate this control, the remote administration of queues and drivers feature can be used to ensure that all print queues are correctly configured, preventing printing without the application of savings.
