How monitoring works
NDD Orbix collects data through a monitoring agent installed in the customer's environment. This agent captures operational information from the printers and sends the data for processing and availability on the platform.
The monitoring status of each printer is displayed in real time:
ONLINE: printer sending data within the configured period.
OFFLINE: printer not sending data for the number of days configured as the limit.

In addition, the provider can customize the downtime that defines the OFFLINE status and stop monitoring printers that do not need to be monitored, avoiding unnecessary alerts.
Integration with NDD Print MPS
NDD Print MPS already uses data collection agents. To facilitate the implementation of NDD Orbix without the need to install a new agent, we have developed an integration between NDD Print MPS and NDD Orbix. This integration synchronizes the data captured by the agents, simplifying the transition to the new system.
The files captured by the agents are intercepted before being processed by NDD Print MPS. A copy of these files is sent to NDD Orbix for processing. Data synchronization occurs automatically: when registering a provider in the integration tool, the data of all companies linked to it are synchronized. NDD Orbix creates companies based on the EnterpriseKey present in the file sent by the agents.
Data quality is essential for NDD Orbix to function correctly. Therefore, the data collected by the agents is analyzed and trimmed. For synchronization to take place, a minimum version of the agent is required:
NDD Print Host: version 5.25.0 or higher
NDD Print Agent: version 5.15.0 or higher
NDD Print Collector Lexmark: version 5.7.1 or higher
NDD Print Collector Kyocera: version 5.1.1 or higher
NDD Print Collector Ricoh: version 5.1.0 or higher
NDD Print Collector HP: version 5.0.0 or higher
Only data originating from these versions will be synchronized.
Printer inventory and monitoring in NDD Orbix is more than a technical monitoring solution: it is a strategic tool that connects operational data to financial and service management, ensuring efficiency, visibility and total control over the printing fleet.
