How is the computer's geolocation obtained?

The geolocation of the computer is obtained through information collected by the NDD - Computer Monitor service.

The process works in two ways, both using information provided by Windows:

  • Precise location: performed through Wi-Fi network triangulation, using the Google API.

  • Backup location: when Wi-Fi network triangulation is not available, the location is estimated based on the device's public IP, using the ipapi API.
